For my 12-year-old son, who has an average size and built, the size chart would imply XS, but XS is much too tight at the thighs, which tend to be bulkier than average in dancers: S is fine, comfortable and neat, M is a tad too big for him and does not look as professional). My son loves the feel and weight of the fabric, he is happy with the waist and the length. Stays in excellent shape after many washes at 30°.

The high waistband is especially generous making the tights secure without an added elastic band when rolled down. I will be buying only these tights from now on.
