It used to be a "jogging" fabric, but that's no longer the case. The new fabric is unpleasant to the touch and feels "colder" when worn. The waist drawstring on this model systematically tucks inside the waistband each time it's washed. You have to take the cord out each time, which makes the cord hole even bigger. It's annoying. Honestly, I had to buy another pair after I realized that my first pair were in the wash every time I wanted to wear them...which was all the time!! So comfy; perfect for workout classes. A nice change from the spandex look.
